Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Enoch Teye Mensah, has withdrawn his quest to run in the race of the Council of State membership.
Mr. Mensah in a notice of poll for the greater Accra Region published by the electoral commission ahead of the polls, appeared forth in the right hand corner.

Since the publication, the former Member of Parliament has had a lot of social media bashing as critics called him “power hungry” and “self-serving”.
In a letter addressed to the EC on February 15, 2017, ET Mensah said he was withdrawing from the race for personal reasons.

The election is scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2017, after it was cancelled on Thursday, February 9.
