The NDC parliamentary candidate for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunnor has reiterated the party’s commitment to legalise ‘Okada’ and ‘Pragya’ businesses when voted into power.
The candidate who had a town ride with leaders of the National Okada Association through the streets of Kasoa told 3News.com that the NDC’s agenda to legalize the Okada operations is to ensure safety of riders as well as make the job even more decent and respected.
On that score, she had asked Okada and ‘Pragya’ riders all across Ghana to rally behind the NDC and vote massively for the presidential candidate, John Mahama to make the legalization possible.
Touching on the Awutu Senya East, the NDC parliamentary candidate who decried the “slow pace of development and unavailability of jobs which has exacerbated the poor living conditions of constituents”, Phillis Naa Koryoo pledged to be a better option and therefore appealing to voters to give her the chance to represent them in parliament.
She trusts herself to be a better representation and trumpet the issues confronting the people.
Special voting is currently underway in fourteen regions across the country after ballot papers for Eastern and Western Region were recalled for a reprint.
The special voting for these two Regions will take place on December 5, 2024.
