The National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central Joana Gyan Cudjoe, is rallying her supporters to stay united and focused on their campaign goals.
This renewed sense of purpose comes after the Sekondi High Court vacated the injunction on her eligibility, paving the way for the Electoral Commission to add her name to the ballot.
With this major hurdle cleared, Joana’s team is gearing up to move forward with revitalized energy and determination. The court’s decision is a significant boost to her campaign, and her supporters are no doubt thrilled to see her name officially on the ballot.
The Sekondi High Court, under the direction of Justice Gyan-Konto, made a significant ruling early Monday morning, November 11, lifting the injunction against Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central.
This decision clears the way for the Electoral Commission to include her name and picture on the ballot papers for the December 7 general elections.
In essence, the court’s ruling reverses the earlier restraint on the Electoral Commission, allowing Joana Gyan Cudjoe to proceed with her candidacy. This development is a major boost to her campaign.
Joana, thrilled with the court’s decision, expressed her sentiments during a media engagement, saying, “I’m extremely grateful to God, my new lawyers, and everyone who stood by me through this challenging period. The court’s ruling is a testament to the power of justice and fairness. I’m eager to move forward with our campaign launch and continue engaging with my constituents. Thank you to my supporters, the NDC party, and the Electoral Commission for their cooperation.”
On Facebook, she shared Job 42:7-17, emphasizing that “Justice Delayed is Not Justice Denied.”
The story of Job is a powerful example of how justice can be delayed, but ultimately, the innocent is vindicated.
She expressed gratitude and appreciation to Lawyer Thaddeus Sory, Lawyer Israel Ackah, Edudzi Tamekloe, and the entire legal team for their tireless efforts “in securing my clearance to contest the Amenfi Central Constituency seat. Lawyer Sory’s expertise and dedication were instrumental in this significant victory.”
She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to NDC’ss flag bearer John Dramani Mahama, the National Executives of the NDC, Western Regional Executives, Amenfi Central Constituency Executives, Branch Executives, and the people of Amenfi Central for their unwavering support and trust in my vision. She said “Your commitment to my candidacy and values is invaluable”.
