I became born again after suffering heartbreak – Perez Musik

Gospel musician, Perez Musik has shared the moment he decided to give his life to Christ and experience salvation.

In an interview on Hitz FM, the ‘Blema Tesa’ hitmaker disclosed that after a bitter experience of heartbreak, he planned to do away with his worldly lifestyles including smoking.

He said that having dealt with the pain of an industry person snatching his girlfriend, Perez Musik turned to God for comfort.

“The truth is it started with a heartbreak. At that point it was very painful. I have never told the story before but I will say it without mentioning names. Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend back then.

“I brought my girlfriend came to visit me in the office, when I turned, he took my girlfriend’s number. The next time, they were talking and this was someone who was mu buddy buddy that’s why I don‘t make friends,” he said on Thursday, October 10.

He added that he went out one day with his friend and the guy gave his phone to Perez to make a call. Then Perez saw his girlfriend’s display photo pop up on his friend’s phone.

“I opened it and I’m like, ‘yo’ and I just gave the phone back to him and I went home. I didn’t say anything to him, I just left and went home so that broken heart,” he added.

The gospel musician, however, stated that since he got born again, he has reveled in the peace and joy that come with serving the Lord.

Perez Musik has chalked a number of successes in the music industry including winning Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance at the 24th Ghana Music Awards.

He has to his credit, songs such as Majie Oyi, Kaafo, Walatse, Hewale Lala, among others.
