Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah’s expected move to the Premier League fell through at the last minute on transfer deadline day after a deal with Fulham collapsed.
Initially, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that a move was imminent, with a verbal agreement in place and paperwork being finalised.
However, the situation changed dramatically when Fulham shifted their focus to Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, stalling the process.
Despite having completed his medical and the clubs agreeing on terms, Nuamah did not sign the necessary documents before Fulham’s last-minute change in strategy.
This setback comes after a busy summer for Nuamah, who had made a permanent move to Lyon following a successful loan spell. He initially joined Belgian side RWD Molenbeek before being loaned to Lyon.
