A fire outbreak has been reported at the Kwame Nkrumah interchange area, formerly called ‘Circle’.
About 100 wooden structures supposedly serving as brothels are said to have been burnt by the raging fire.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service are currently at the scene trying to douse the fire.
An official of the Public Affairs Department of the GNFS, ADO Alex King Nartey assured that the firemen have the situation under control.
“The fire has been prevented from further spread. We are constantly engaging the fire,” he assured.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
