Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is dreaming of a spot in the England Euro 2024 squad following his impressive form in the Premier League this season.
The England star has had a breakthrough season at Bournemouth and putting himself in a good place to be on the plane to Germany later this year.
Continuing his prolific streak, he shattered Bournemouth’s Premier League single-season goal-scoring record on Saturday. His strike against Manchester United marked his 17th goal in the Premier League campaign. This has placed him joint-third on the scorers chart only behind Erling Haaland and Ollie Watkins.
Speaking after the game, the former Chelsea striker didn’t shy away from making a case for himself when asked about his chances of making it into the England squad for the 2024 EUROS.
“Obviously I’d love to be there, I think everyone would love to be there
Playing for your country in a big tournament like that is everyone’s dream. But just like you said I just need to keep on scoring and get as many as I can from now till the end of the season and hopefully I can be in with a shout,” he said.
The striker also heaped praises on his manager’s ability to get him in top form and also for the feat he’s achieved this season.

“Obviously, I probably wouldn’t have thought I would have scored this many this season, but we’ve been great this season as a team. The manager’s been great since he’s come in and I’ve managed to get quite a few chances this season, probably a lot more than last season with his style of play. It suited me and, yeah, I’ve benefited from that,” he remarked.
With Solanke’s scoring form already gaining recognition, the ex-Liverpool forward will have have to compete with the many strikers in the Three Lions team.
