Asante Kotoko’s struggles continue as they suffered their fourth defeat in five games on Thursday evening at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Falling 2-1 to Nsoatreman, the loss adds to the mounting pressure on coach Prosper Ogum.
The tide turned against Kotoko when midfielder Abdul Manaf Umar opened the scoring for Nsoatreman in the 23rd minute.
Despite a late first-half equaliser from midfielder Shadrack Addo, assisted by Enock Morrison, Kotoko failed to maintain momentum.
In a cruel twist, Nsoatreman secured victory in stoppage time with a decisive goal from Mohammed Abdul Rahaman, leaving Kotoko reeling from their sixth consecutive winless match.
This streak represents the team’s longest drought in the past decade, exacerbating their challenges.
With 33 points from 25 matches, Kotoko currently languish in the 10th position on the league standings, while Nsoatreman rise to fifth place.
