West Ham United manager David Moyes has showered praise on Mohammed Kudus for his impressive adaptation to the rigors of the English Premier League since joining the club from Ajax.
The 23-year-old Black Stars attacker has seamlessly transitioned into the Premier League, contributing significantly to West Ham’s success both domestically and in European competitions.
Moyes commended Kudus’ ability to settle in quickly, highlighting the challenges many overseas players face in adapting to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.
“It’s not easy to start well in the Premier League, and a lot of the players who come from overseas find it quite difficult, but I think Mo, though, because of the experience he’s had – in Denmark, the Netherlands and now the Premier League – it has given him a better coverage of different leagues,” he said.
“He will be important for us going forward in the future as well. He’s a young boy who has only just come into the Premier League and he’s settled in incredibly well,” added the West Ham gaffer.
His performances have surpassed expectations, with one of his goals in the Round of 16 stage of the Europa League against SC Freiburg being voted Goal of the Month for March.
With Kudus West Ham find themselves in a strong position in both the Premier League and the Europa League, a testament to the Ghanaian’s talent and adaptability.

“We’re really enjoying the way he is playing for West Ham,” Moyes remarked in a pre-game press conference ahead of West Ham’s Europa League quarterfinal clash against Bayer Leverkusen. “He has a lot of development ahead of him, and he’s settling in nicely here. He will be important for us going forward in the future as well.”
Kudus’ impact on the pitch has been evident, with the Ghanaian already notching up an impressive tally of 13 goals across all competitions for West Ham. This feat has surpassed his compatriot and Black Stars captain Andre Ayew as West Ham’s leading Ghanaian scorer, further solidifying his status as a key player for the Hammers.
West Ham will take on Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday in the Europa League quarter-finals.
