One person has reportedly died and another battling for his life following a chieftaincy dispute between two feuding factions at Gbengbani in the Yunyo-Nasua District of the Northeast Region.
Over 40 houses and tractors, a tipper truck, motorbikes and many other properties worth thousands of Ghana Cedis were destroyed.
More than ten people have also been picked up by a joint police-Military team.
On Thursday March 14, and around 5am, police in Yunyoo received a distress call on a supposed gun battle in the Gbengbani community resulting in the burning of houses.
Police immediately rushed to the scene and arrested some gun wielding men who allegedly were engaged in the exchange of fire.
