Ghanaian rapper Freda Rhymz has made a second coming with a new one called Questions. Freda Rhymz was one of Ghana’s fast-rising female rappers until her disappearance about two years ago.
Freda Baffour Awuah was well-known throughout the rap community. But then, one day, out of the blue, she involved herself in a beef-Triangle with singer Sista Efia and rapper Eno Barony. That nearly resulted in a physical fight when Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz coincidentally met at TV3 premises.
Weeks later, Sista Afia confessed that the altercation was a planned arrangement between herself and Freda Rhymz to court views and a polarised fanbase. After this confession, Freda Rhymz disappeared from the rap scene, and no one heard from her – until six days ago when she revealed it all in her new single, Questions?
Freda Rhymz says she’s learnt her lesson about being used in the rap verse, “don’t call me for a move and later sell out… Now, I’ve learnt my lesson.”
She also revealed that she had been in the States making money to push her career. She also addressed her alleged pregnancy.
Before her hiatus, Freda featured many Ghanaian artistes, including her nemesis Sista Afia, Kwame Eugene, D-Black and Eno Barony.
According to Freda Rhymz, she had been working on her craft and was ready to make a triumphant return.
