The number of students facing charges of vandalism at the Krobea Asante Technical and Vocational School has risen to 43 after police made four more arrest.
Thirty-nine rioting students vandalised several items including private properties at the school last month.
About four government vehicles and two others owned by teachers were destroyed.
The school’s store was also invaded by the students resulting in the destruction of food items.
They went on rampage over poor examination results.
On Sunday, January 22, 39 of the students were arrested.
The Asokore Mampong District Court, presided over by His Worship Samuel Buaben Quansah, admitted the accused students to GH¢2000 each bail with one surety.
All 43 accused students are to report at the Effiduase Police Station once every week.
The case has since been adjourned to Thursday, March 2.
The head of Legal and Prosecution at the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ACP Kofi Blagogie, said they have taken finger prints of the destroyed vehicles to aid investigations.
He added that they are pursuing other suspects connected to the disturbances.
“Other students or suspects were being sought in connection with issue,” he said.
He assured of full-scale investigation into the disturbances to bring to an end students rioting.
Counsel for the accused Lawyer Kwabena Gyamfi was grateful to the court for granting his clients bail.
“We are extremely grateful to the court for granting the juveniles bail. We will make sure that whatever the court has ordered the juveniles will comply. In fact, we have their parents here who are going to ensure that they obey every order to the later,” he said.
