The Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma who doubles as Deputy Minister of Defence, Kofi Amankwa-Manu has handed over ultra-modern medical equipment and other medical consumables worth thousands of euros to over 20 health facilities in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
All mission and private health centers also benefitted from the medical equipment.
All the items were received by the Atwima Kwanwoma District Health Directorate, Foase, for onward distribution to all health facilities across the district.

Among these equipment were beds, X-ray machine, wheel chairs, BP apparatus, mattresses, a couch, Lead protector, Perfusers, Acu check, sutures, walkers, dental chair, insulin pens, masks, gauze, catheters, cannulas, clutches, and many others.
Deputy minister of Defence and MP for Atwima Kwanwoma says “my commitment to you to make this constituency a model of excellence across all sectors remains unchanged. The health of constituents is paramount and I promise to mobilise all available resources to equip our health facilities.”
This is the second major health procurement in this year by the lawmaker.
In October, the Trabuom health center was equipped with modern medical materials which will meet the health needs of the people and halt the tendency of travelling to Kumasi to seek medical attention.
Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency has seen some major developments in less than two years under Kofi Amankwa-Manu.

The MP has also commissioned three (3) toilet projects for Takyiman Mmrewadwa and Adumasa communities.
They include; a 14-seater plus 6-seater facilities for Takyiman Mmrewadwa community and D/A School respectively and another 20-seater facility for Adumasa Presby School.
“These facilities are part of the benefits from my partnership with the Latter Day Saints Charities, the humanitarian wing of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” he said.
