Ghanaian recording artist AJ tunes is scheduled to release his first single, ‘Obiba JK’. The tv3 Mentor X’s second runner-up after rising to fame has hinted at his debut single on October 28.
AJ Tunes is a brilliant and versatile artist who has a greater interest in Afro, RnB, Soul, Highlife, Gospel, and Trap music. The young talent released OBIBA JK, his very first Afrobeat single after the competition
AJ explained the inspiration behind his new song, “OBIBA JK,” during his performance at the premiere of the new season of Mentor XI.
He said that people portray themselves as having luxurious lives on social media. Yet, in reality, they cannot afford the clothes, houses, and cars they display. The song begs God to ignore the fake lifestyle and bless him.
According to him, tv3 mentor made him challenge himself after the competition.
“‘Obiba Jk’ is a song that talks about real-life issues. Everybody looks good on the outside but broken on the inside. People see you and think you have it all, but most people are living a fake life, especially on social media. So this song is a prayer to God for him to bless us enough to reach out to someone who also needs our help.”
Apraku James, popularly known in the creative art industry, is a Ghanaian recording artist from Obuasi in the central part of Ghana.
He emerged as the 2nd runner-up for tv3’s mentor this year 2022.
‘Obiba JK’ will be available on all streaming platforms ( Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, audiomack, and Youtube on Friday, October 28, 2022.
