

John Boadu will now assume the position of substantive General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following his victory in Saturday’s national executive elections held during the 26th National Delegates’ Conference.
The former National Organiser polled 4,277 votes, according to provisional results, to beat sole contender Richard Ahiagbah.
Richard Ahiagbah polled 1,274 votes.
The results are yet to be certified by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC).
If confirmed, Mr Boadu will succeed Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, who was handed an indefinite suspension in 2015.
