I Hope Robberies Not Politically Motivated From Within or Without – Rawlings

The former President Jerry John Rawlings is calling on Ghanaians to hope that the recent robbery and killings is downright plain robbery and not a politically motivated action from within or without calculated to undermine the security service.

He charged the various security agencies to ensure that Ghanaians are secured and protected.

The former military leader tweeted, “Let us hope the recent robbery and killings is downright plain robbery and not a politically motivated action from within or without, calculated to undermine those in charge of the security machinery in order to pave the way for certain parochial ambitions’.

His comment comes on the back of a Lebanese businessman who was shot dead in Tema after returning from the Bank to withdraw over GHC200, 000 for his company.

The country has reported of spate of robbery cases with some being killed by the robbers.
