The 13 Delta Force members who were standing trial for assaulting the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei and attacking a Kumasi Circuit Court have been granted bail on Thursday April 12, 2017.
They have been asked by Justice Obiri Yeboah to comply with bail conditions which include, GH¢10,000 each with two sureties of residents in Kumasi and two photo copies of valid Identity Cards (ID).
The vigilante group the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday were fined GH¢24,000 each for escaping court custody and were asked to sign a bond of good behaviour for the next 6 months.
The group which escaped with the aid of their colleagues during the trial of assault smashed properties on sight at the court and nearly assaulted the Judge Justice Mary Senkyire when she ruled that they be remanded.
They will re-appear in Court on April 20, 2017.
