Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn into Group C for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which will take place in Morocco in 2025.
The draw, which took place on Friday evening, revealed that Ghana will face defending champions, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali at the group stage.
Host nation, Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo are in Group A, while Group B consists of Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, and Botswana.
The draw sets the stage for a challenging yet rewarding journey for the Queens, highlighted by their clash against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, as well as matches against Mali’s Les Aiglonnes and Tanzania’s Twiga Stars.
The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will run from July 5-26, 2025, in Morocco.
