In his very first attempt at contesting as aspiring parliamentary candidate, Kofi Obiri Yeboah made history in Saturday’s parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) when he polled an overwhelming 85 per cent of the votes cast to beat his three other contenders, including the established incumbent, for the Subin Seat.
The affable candidate, is known to be an astute lawyer whose specialty is land law and property consultancy, and a product of the University of Ghana and also trained as a lawyer from the Ghana School of Law.
The incoming Subin MP, is also an accomplished business man and a philanthropist. He is the founder of a fledging law firm, Obiri Yeboah & Co Unlimited, Asylum Down in Accra.
As soon as he was announced as the winner, Mr Yeboah immediately congratulated his other contenders amidst funfair by his large following.
The feeling within the constituency is that of high hopes, judging from what the victor has already done for the constituency.
Indeed, having acquired a brand new 33-Seater Toyota Coaster Bus and commenced work on an Ultra-Modern Astro Turf at the famous Asem School Park, his constituents cannot be faulted for placing such high hopes on the gentleman.
His constituents tout him as a people centered politician who has shown enough to merit their trust.
