HD PLUS Ghana has signed a partnership agreement with GTV Sports for the exclusive free-to-air broadcast rights of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.
According to the organisations, with the collaboration football enthusiasts will enjoy the matches on GTV Sports and HD .
Speaking on the partnership deal, the Chief Executive Officer of SED SES HD PLUS, Adelaide Abbiw-Williams, said “We are excited to announce our partnership with GTV Sports to broadcast the AFCON 2023 tournament in high-definition to our audience.”
Ms Abbiw-Williams said the combination of GTV Sport ’s extensive sports coverage expertise and HD ’s commitment to delivering top-notch visual experiences would guarantee an unforgettable tournament to fans.
“HD is set to elevate the viewing experience by being the sole platform to show all matches shown live on GTV Sports in stunning high-definition pictures exclusively to homes in Ghana,” she stated.
The Director of TV at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Mr George Lomotey, said “GTV Sports is proud to be the exclusive broadcaster for the AFCON 2023 and teaming up with HD ensures that fans enjoy the matches in unparalleled clarity. Together, we aim to set new standards for sports broadcasting and provide an immersive experience for football enthusiasts.”
“HD and GTV Sports invite football fans to witness the AFCON 2023 tournament in style, with live matches and an array of features designed to enhance their viewing pleasure, Mr Lomotey stated.
The 2023 African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire and to be competed with 24 teams, would start tomorrow.
