The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Tecno Mobile GH have signed a pact to make the latter the official smartphone partner of the association.
The President of the GFA, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, and CEO of Imax Media, Maxwell Tachie, signed for their respective organisations.
Speaking at the signing, the Channel Manager at TECNO Ghana, Ernest Sonkor, said he hoped the partnership would revive the passion associated with the sport.
He said his company was committed to supporting the development of football at all levels, by saying, “TECNO seeks to provide financial and technical support to the GFA to support other events including the Ghana League, FA Cup, and the national teams among others.”
The GFA president, Mr Okraku, said the deal was a significant one for the association, especially when coming at a time when the fusion of technology with football has become the game changer over the world.
“This partnership speaks volumes of what the GFA is doing to grow the game here in the country and drive the passion of all.”
