Struggling Accra Great Olympics will host Asante Kotoko on Sunday in a top week 15 Ghana Premier League clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The game may be coming too early for the Wonder Club who have gone winless in their last couple of match; dropping from the upper parts of the table to the lower part.
But, for the Porcupine Warriors, it would be a chance to embark on a four games winning streak because they are coming into the game as huge favourites.
Olympics have lost to Berekum Chelsea and Legon Cities in their last two game, drawing a lot of concerns from their faithful who are calling for a quick upsurge in performance.
But against the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium fortress, a venue they chalked a 3-2 win over rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday, Kotoko would line up the turf, ambitious of extending their winning run to put them in contention for the title.
Hearts of Oak would remain in Kumasi to play Nations in what is again expected to be a tough battle for the Phobians after losing to Kotoko over the weekend.
The Phobians registered a fierce protest over one of the goals they conceded against Kotoko and were also unhappy with what they termed as unfair treatment from their host, despite being the home team.
But at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, conditions may change for the visitors to return to winning ways.
However, Nations FC’s 2-1 surprise defeat of Aduana Stars over the weekend has suddenly turn them into a side capable of stretching Hearts winless run.
The Bibiani DUN’S Park will also see action between Goldstars settling scores with FC Samartex on Sunday.
Both teams appear to be enjoying a decent run and look capable to snatching the points but Goldstars home advantage could play a key role in determining the tie.
At the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Real Tamale United (RTU) will engage high-flying Berekum Chelsea just as Bofoakwa Tano serve the first of the three-match home ban with their game against Legon Cities scheduled for the Dreams Arena.
The week’s round of matches would, however, commence on Friday with a tough encounter between Aduana Stars and Bechem United at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa.
The matches between Heart of Lions and Medeama as well as Karela United versus Dreams FC have been postponed due to Dreams FC and Medeama participation in Africa.
