
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has apprehended three suspects linked to the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the Ashanti Region.
The first incident took place on Thursday February 13, 2025 at Krofrom around noon, where the victim, Patricia Nimako, tragically lost her life and a sum of money.
DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander explained that the second incident also occurred on the night of Monday March 10, 2025 when the victim, Gideon Owusu Sarpong, alias ‘Junior’, was robbed and murdered at his residence in Kwadaso.
He indicated at a media briefing yesterday that the arrested suspects have been identified as Charles Kwame Danso, 23, also known as “Kwame Charles” or “Miami”, Philip Fordjour, 29 and Samuel Addae Mensah, 42.
They were arrested on March 21, 2025 at Pankrono and Atimatim respectively. He disclosed that the suspects are currently in Police custody and would soon be arraigned to face justice.
He said efforts are underway to locate a fourth suspect in the person of Martin Amoah, aka Augustine Amoah, alias “Baba Macho”, who is believed to be hiding in Accra, Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin and Diaso near Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region.
