Asante Kotoko coach Prince Owusu has admitted his team is still working on their finishing as they prepare for a key league game against FC Samartex.
Speaking before the Week 28 fixture, Owusu highlighted the need for improvement in front of goal despite the team’s recent efforts. Kotoko will host Samartex on Monday, April 6, in a match that could shape their push in the latter part of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors head into the game with mixed form, recording two wins, two draws, and one defeat in their last five matches. They will be aiming to build consistency at home.
"If you watch the league this season, the goal scoring, I think we've done a lot of them. We score a lot of goals and the boys are still working on it, you know, to get better when we meet Samartex. We have some drills for them today and tomorrow that will prepare them for the game ahead of us," he told AKSC Media.
Samartex, meanwhile, come into the clash on a difficult run, with three draws and two defeats in their last five games as they look to climb the table.
Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
