Ghana FA sets May 25 as opening date for 2026/27 registration window

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has disclosed that the registration window for the 2026/27 football season is set for Monday, May 25.

In an official statement from the football government body, it said, “The registration period will open on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 00:01 GMT and close on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 23:59 GMT.”

According to the GFA, this timeline applies to all clubs and is in line with GFA regulations, which mandate the opening of the main registration window prior to the start of each new football season.

All clubs in the various divisions are required to respond promptly to all registration-related queries within three (3) days, including weekends and public holidays. This the GFA believes will ensure a smooth and timely process.

In its statement, the GFA admonished all clubs to complete their registration within the stipulated period.

“No extensions will be granted under any circumstances, and the deadline will be strictly enforced, considering that GFA IT staff respond to issues, queries and responses in a 24-hour-a-day shift system,” the statement stressed.
