Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed strong confidence in the Black Stars ahead of their high-profile friendly against Germany, insisting that head coach Otto Addo has instilled a mindset that fears no opponent.
Ghana face Austria on Friday, March 27, before taking on Germany in Stuttgart three days later as part of their final preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to the media ahead of the two fixtures, Okraku reflected on how perceptions of such matchups have changed.
"A few years ago, if you heard a fixture like Ghana versus Germany, you would be afraid. But today, we are very confident. The intangible assets that have been put together by coach Otto Addo and his team will make Ghana proud."
Okraku's remarks underline the growing belief within the Ghanaian football setup that the Black Stars can compete with the world's best. The team has been drawn in a challenging Group L for the World Cup alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, and the friendly against Germany serves as a crucial test of their readiness.
Addo, who has guided Ghana through an unbeaten World Cup qualifying campaign, has emphasized mental strength and tactical discipline as key pillars of his approach. With the Germany clash looming, Okraku's confidence reflects the faith the FA has placed in the current technical team.
Ghana will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
