Interim Asante Kotoko coach Prince Yaw Owusu is mulling over the possibility of taking over the Porcupine Warriors on a permanent basis as he reflects on his time in charge.
Appointed in February following Karim Zito’s resignation, Owusu has navigated a mixed run of results, including two wins, two defeats, and a draw.
The 3-0 victory over local rivals Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday put the club back in contention for the league title.
“It would be untrue to say I’m under pressure. I’m completely relaxed. No one knows what tomorrow holds. If I continue winning and I’m asked to stay on, then so be it. I’m not putting myself under pressure by overthinking the job,” Owusu said.
“Exactly, that’s what it means, and I won’t shy away from it. Players I coached out there believe in me and trust that I can get the job done. I’m determined to prove my worth to the team,” he added.
Owusu’s record as interim manager now stands at 0-1 against Hearts of Oak, 2-0 over Young Apostles, 0-0 with Vision FC, 0-1 versus Karela United, and 3-0 over Nations FC.
