Ghana U-17 will continue preparations for the upcoming 2026 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations with two friendly matches against FC Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samraboi.
The national U-17 side will first face Samartex’s youth team on Saturday at 16:00 GMT as the technical team continues to assess player combinations and build match fitness ahead of the tournament.
The Starlets will return to the same venue on Sunday, March 15, to play Samartex’s senior side in another preparatory match scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
The two fixtures form part of the team’s build-up programme for the continental competition, with the technical staff seeking to test the squad’s depth, tactical discipline and overall readiness.
The Starlets have already played a number of friendly matches during their training camp. Previous opponents include True Democracy FC, Port City FC, Attram De Visser Academy, Semper Fi FC and Golden Kick FC.
Officials believe the double-header against Samartex will provide another important test as the team continues its preparations.
The matches are expected to help the technical team assess player performances and refine tactical plans as Ghana’s young talents prepare for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
