Administrative Manager of Bibiani Gold Stars, Joseph Oti Manu, says the club is primed and focused ahead of Sunday’s heavyweight clash with Hearts of Oak. The reigning Ghana Premier League champions will host the Phobians at DUN’s Park in a Matchday 24 encounter, buoyed by renewed confidence after last weekend’s impressive 2-1 away victory over Heart of Lions. That result, Oti Manu believes, has provided the perfect psychological lift as Gold Stars continue their push to retain the league crown.

“It was very crucial…It was very difficult to win an away match. We are the best club in the (Ghana) Premier League in home matches, but we should do well if we want to win the league," he told Citi Sports.
He credited head coach Fritz Schmid for strengthening the squad’s mindset since taking charge two months ago, noting that refresher training sessions have sharpened both the players’ physical and mental readiness.
“Fritz Schmid has done refresher training courses with the players since he arrived two months ago, so psychologically, the team was up to the task to win that match [against Lions]. We are really ready to welcome Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” Oti Manu, who also serves as the Deputy Communications Director of the club, added.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
