Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai is enjoying a productive spell at QarabaÄ FK, but his heart remains fixed on one ultimate goal: representing the Black Stars.
Speaking to 3Sports, the 22-year-old revealed that despite his impressive performances, he has yet to receive any contact from the national team setup. His response, however, was marked not by frustration but by quiet faith.
"No, I haven't had any contact yet. But I believe they've seen my performances. Everything happens in God's time. I'm not in a hurry."
Addai's patience is rooted in a deep love for his country and a desire to be part of something bigger than personal achievement.
"I really want to represent Ghana because I love my country. I grew up watching Ghana lose finals, and I want to help bring joy to my people."
Since joining QarabaÄ, the winger has scored three league goals, becoming the club's third-highest scorer domestically while adding pace and directness to their attack. Even after QarabaÄ's heavy Champions League defeat to Newcastle United, Addai has remained a consistent threat.
His vision extends beyond club success.
"I want to be remembered not just for playing abroad but for doing something meaningful for Ghana because I really love Ghana."
For now, Addai continues to work, waiting for the moment when faith and opportunity align.
