German-Ghanaian attacker Justin Diehl is fully fit again after his recent injury troubles.
Ahead of the upcoming match against Celtic, head coach Sebastian Hoeneà explained that the 21-year-old has been training with the club’s second team to regain his rhythm.
The phase of carefully managing his workload is now over. According to Stuttgart head coach HoeneÃ, the youngster is currently training "without any limitations", and no longer needs a special program. This makes Diehl an immediate option for the first-team matchday squad or the starting XI of the reserves.
Earlier this season, recurring muscle and ligament problems repeatedly set the winger back and stalled his breakthrough in Stuttgart.
Now, with his physical stability apparently restored, he could become an important factor for VfB in the decisive weeks of the campaign.
For Stuttgart, a fully fit Diehl adds creativity, pace and depth to the attack at exactly the right time as the club looks to navigate a demanding run of fixtures and keep its season goals on track.
