Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has credited the FA’s Executive Council for supporting the vision to modernise the association’s headquarters, saying the transformation was necessary to create a professional environment for developing the game.
Speaking on the changes to the FA’s offices, Okraku said the upgrade forms part of a broader effort to improve working conditions for staff and strengthen football administration across the country.
"I want to say thank you to the Executive Committee for being so supportive of the ideas and the vision. The result is what we see today," he said.
Okraku explained that providing the right environment for administrators is key to achieving progress in the field.
"If you want the very best for the Ghanaian game, you need to make sure that you provide a serene working environment for your staff. When they leave their homes, they must find another home in their offices where they are comfortable to deliver," he added.
He noted that the same approach has been extended beyond the headquarters to the GFA’s regional offices and the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.
"The vision has always remained the same. Provide an enabling atmosphere for staff to be able to deliver football, and I think that so far we’ve done quite well," Okraku said.
