Prince Amoako Junior is poised to embrace greater responsibility at FC Nordsjaelland after being handed the club’s prestigious No.10 jersey ahead of the second half of the 2025-2026 season.
The 18-year-old Ghanaian attacker will switch from his current No.22 shirt to the iconic number starting February 8, a decision widely interpreted as a strong endorsement of his talent and potential by the Danish club.
At Nordsjaelland, the No.10 is reserved for players seen as key playmakers and future leaders, adding both prestige and expectation to the role.
By taking the shirt, Amoako Junior joins a notable line of Ghanaian talents who previously wore the No.10 before securing moves to Europe’s top leagues.
Fellow Right to Dream graduates Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah and Kamaldeen Sulemana all used the platform to develop their game and establish themselves internationally.
The jersey also carries a rich history within the club. Former wearers such as Benjamin Nygren, Mohamed Diomandé and Mathias Jensen went on to succeed at higher levels in European football, reinforcing the No.10 as a symbol of progression and promise at Nordsjaelland.
Amoako Junior has already made a significant impact this season, contributing five goals and three assists in the first half of the campaign
