Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed quiet satisfaction with the growing influence of forward Kingsley Braye after his strong showing in the MTN FA Cup.
Braye grabbed the headlines after scoring a hat trick in Medeama’s impressive win over Bibiani Gold Stars, a result that pushed the Tarkwa-based side into the Round of 16 of the competition.
The coach views the forward’s rise as timely, especially with the team building momentum ahead of their next league outing.
Medeama have gone five matches unbeaten, recording three wins and two draws, and will be looking to extend that run when they host Young Apostles at the TnA Stadium this weekend.
Tanko also reflected on the squad’s depth and the impact of injuries on attacking options.
“I think it's not only him. Even Salam was doing great before he get an injury. So I'm happy that Kingsley have start scoring goals and and giving us the points that we need. So definitely I hope that if Salam come come back he also going to give us some goals but I'm happy for Kingsley," he told Medeama TV.
The match kicks off at 3:00 pm on January 11.
