Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil insists his outfit Ghana Premier League title chase remain on course after triumphing over Bechem United on Sunday.
The Congolese rock-solid defender played a pivotal role, as the Porcupine Warriors cruised to a resounding 6-0 victory over the Hunters at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 16 of the Ghanaian top-flight.
Nigeria forward Morifing Donzo led the charge with a brace, while Samba O’Neil, Kwame Opoku, Hubert Gyau, and Johnson Owusu Oppong also found the back of the net to complete the rout.
However the high-rated defender has declared his outfit readiness to secure the preme3ir League title and nothing more.
“Huge congrats to the team for a massive win. The title charge is well and truly on”, he said.
The Porcupine Warriors’ impressive victory now sets the record as the biggest win in the current Premier League campaign.
The result lifts Asante Kotoko to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings. The Porcupine Warriors will now travel to Swedru to face All Blacks in Matchday 17 on Sunday, January 4.
