Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak played out a pulsating goalless draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Saturday, a result that keeps Aduana top of the Premier League but represents points dropped in the title race.
The hosts had five attempts on goal, with three on target, but were unable to find a way past a disciplined Hearts of Oak defence. Hearts, for their part, showed ambition going forward and finished the game with nine shots. However, only one tested the Aduana goalkeeper Osei Prince, reflecting their continued struggles in the final third.
Despite the lack of goals, the contest was played at a high tempo, with both sides committing numbers forward and pressing aggressively, especially in the second half. Aduana pushed hard for a late winner, but Hearts held firm to secure a valuable away point.
The draw leaves Aduana FC still at the summit and unbeaten at home this season, though second-placed Medeama, who face Basake Holy Stars on Monday, now have an opportunity to close the gap. Hearts of Oak remain fourth following the stalemate.
