Las Vegas Lights FC Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia has expressed strong enthusiasm about how well Ghanaian midfielder Abraham Okyere fits the club’s playing identity.
Okyere arrives in Las Vegas after an impressive 2025 season in Finland’s Veikkausliiga, where he made 32 appearances, scored once, and added an assist for FC Haka.
Known as a dynamic midfielder comfortable in possession, he is expected to strengthen the Lights’ options in the middle of the park.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Abraham to the Lights, a player we believe will be a great fit in Head Coach Devin Rensing’s midfield,” said Neglia.â
He highlighted both the technical and tactical qualities that convinced the club to move for the Ghanaian midfielder.
“His technical ability allows him to excel in tight spaces and switch play effectively, putting us on the front foot as often as possible. He is also a very direct, aggressive midfielder, which will help improve our chance creation to give more opportunities to our talented attacking group.”â
