Ghanaian midfielder Abraham Okyere has joined Las Vegas Lights FC from Finnish top-flight side FC Haka, signing a deal that runs through the 2027 season with a club option for 2028.
The 23-year-old becomes the latest addition to Head Coach Devin Rensing’s squad as the club continues to build for the upcoming USL Championship campaign.â
Okyere arrives in Las Vegas after an impressive 2025 season in Finland’s Veikkausliiga, where he made 32 appearances, scored once, and added an assist for FC Haka. Known as a dynamic midfielder comfortable in possession, he is expected to strengthen the Lights’ options in the middle of the park.â
The Ghanaian began his professional journey with Inter Allies FC, making his debut in the Ghana Premier League against Bechem United on January 4, 2020.
His path then took him to Al Hilal United in the UAE, Belgian Pro League side K Beerschot VA, Indian club TRAU FC, and Finnish outfit Kokkolan Palloveikot, where he was voted best midfielder for the 2024 season and led a memorable Finnish Cup run. That form earned his move to FC Haka and ultimately opened the door to Las Vegas Lights FC.
