Bibiani Gold Stars coach Nana Yaw Amankwah is turning his attention to fixing the errors his team made in their defeat to FC Samartex.
He made it clear that his priority is improvement, not dwelling on the loss.
Gold Stars, last season’s winners, fell 2-0 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena as Samartex protected their unbeaten home run. The home side struck twice in the first 15 minutes, with Emmanuel Kofi Essien scoring early before Emmanuel Mamah converted a penalty to seal the win.
Reflecting on the match, Amankwah pointed to the nature of football and the challenge of away games.
"You can say that it is one of those things somebody come and lose as his first time somebody will never lose play very well here he will never lose until someone comes. There is first time in anything so preparation how Samartex went in this game is different that will also be the factor," he told Gold Stars TV.
"Normally the situation of some of the team's that we find ourselves playing away games will lead to that. You can see some of the team's struggling to win even at home when we go and play with them and they prepare very well to meet us. I am considering about my mistakes not Samartex beating us for the first time no I am thinking about the mistakes how they do the mistakes,"
Gold Stars remain 4th with 22 points after 13 games and will face Medeama next.
