The head coach of Eleven Wonders, Emmanuel Aidoo, was full of praise for his players on Friday, despite their 2-0 defeat to Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking in his post-match interview, the coach insisted that his players did their best during the contest, arguing that it was just not their day for victory.
“We did our best. The boys didn’t play badly at all. We lost, and the football gods have spoken, and that’s it,” Coach Aidoo said.
The Eleven Wonders coach continued, “We are on a mission to escape relegation and irrespective of the fact that we lost, it’s not ended. We are still on the same mission. We are going to the drawing board to prepare for the next game.”
The defeat to Swedru All Blacks leaves Eleven Wonders bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings with just six points.
All Blacks, on the other hand, have moved to 10th on the league standings temporarily, after extending their unbeaten run to four matches.
The win against Eleven Wonders also marks their second straight triumph at the University of Ghana Stadium, having defeated Dreams FC two weeks earlier.
