The “Bawumia Nation” App, a volunteer online mobilization group, was officially launched on Friday, 27 September 2024, at the University of Ghana’s Athletic Oval.
Dr. Augustine Blay, Executive Secretary to the Vice President and head of the digital campaign team, unveiled the app, designed to connect supporters and mobilize them to work collectively toward Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential election in 2024.
The event, attended by dignitaries from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bawumia Nation members, and other NPP volunteer groups, featured fun and educational activities.
Dr. Blay highlighted the app’s unique features, including its ability to connect members, facilitate engagement, and reward active participation with badges and redeemable tokens.
To join Bawumia Nation, users can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, sign in, and create a profile.
By recruiting 12 people to join their network, users become “Prefects” and can expand the Bawumia Nation network.
The app is available for download on both platforms, with a user-friendly interface and engaging features.
This innovative approach to campaign mobilization demonstrates the NPP’s commitment to leveraging technology to engage citizens and promote Dr. Bawumia’s vision for Ghana’s development.
