ZEN Petroleum Limited, a wholly-owned Ghanaian Oil Marketing Company (OMC), has donated a new bus to Future Leaders School (FLS), an institution that provides education to some of the most underprivileged children in Accra.
ZEN Petroleum Managing Director, William Tawiah, expressed that the donation aligns with the company’s commitment to empowering communities through quality education.
He highlighted that ZEN, in collaboration with Akwaaba Volunteers supported the educational initiatives of FLS to disadvantaged children in the La Kpeshie area of Accra.
Mr. Tawiah further disclosed that ZEN Petroleum has allocated a substantial sum of GH¢ 2m to FLS, specifically focusing on improving teaching and learning environments.
“The allocated funds have been directed towards impactful programmes including the purchase of the school bus, teacher support, and a breakfast programme,” he emphasized.
FLS Headmistress, Mable Akpo, shared that the school currently provides education to 420 students from diverse backgrounds ranging from crèche to Junior High School.
She expressed gratitude to ZEN Petroleum for their generous support in sustaining the school’s daily operations.
“Our school caters to children residing in remote areas of Accra, where accessing education poses a significant challenge. The provision of this bus will alleviate our transportation difficulties, and we are sincerely thankful for this invaluable donation,” she remarked.
