Popular diminutive Ghanaian actor, Yaw Dabo visited Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, the Ghanaian chef attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
During the visit, Yaw Dabo expressed his love for fufu, a traditional Ghanaian dish, and said he would love to eat it if Chef Faila was preparing it.
“So I will eat fufu.”
The popular Kumawood actor, who is also the owner of Dabo Football Academy, in an interview, called on the general public, including celebrities and politicians, to show their support for Chef Faila as they did for Afua Asantewaa during her attempt to break the Guinness World Record sing-a-thon in Accra.
“Our sister is doing a cooking marathon, it is not easy to cook for five days. I am a cook, and I know how to cook, but I can’t do it. So I am happy for what our sister [Chef Faila] is doing, so let’s appreciate her.”
“I want everybody across the 16 regions of Ghana to be here to support her. As celebrities and everyone showed up in Accra, let’s do the same for our sister to encourage her to break the record,” Dabo stated.
The current Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon is held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes. Chef Faila aims to cook for 120 hours and set a new record.
