The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon Eric Opoku, has praised Agrihouse Foundation for its key role in the successful organisation of this year’s National Agricultural Fair. He described the partnership as a model for sustainable public-private cooperation in agriculture.
Speaking at the 41st Farmers’ Day Celebration in Ho, the Minister expressed gratitude to Agrihouse Foundation for its leadership, professionalism, and dedication to enhancing Ghana’s agricultural value chain. He noted that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s partnership with Agrihouse has become an effective and reliable arrangement that is changing how national agricultural events are run.

He mentioned that the Foundation’s ability to engage stakeholders, coordinate institutions, and provide logistical help has significantly reduced the government’s burden in organizing the National Agricultural Fair. Traditionally, the five-day event required a considerable amount of government spending to plan and execute. However, thanks to Agrihouse Foundation’s smart management, this year’s fair was held at no cost to the state.
He pointed out that this achievement shows Agrihouse Foundation’s operational efficiency and how creative partnerships can aid national development. “Through Agrihouse’s ability to mobilize, coordinate, and provide logistics, the Fair—which previously placed a heavy financial burden on the government—has been successfully organised this year at no expense to the state. We greatly appreciate this valuable partnership and look forward to working together even more,” he emphasized.
The National Agricultural Fair continues to be a major platform for showing Ghana’s agricultural potential, promoting agribusiness innovation, and creating market connections for farmers, agro-processors, and industry participants. This year’s fair included exhibitions, policy discussions, business forums, and training sessions aimed at empowering value chain players and encouraging investment in the sector.
Agrihouse Foundation, known for its commitment to promoting agribusiness and building agricultural capacity across Ghana, has recently become a key partner in organising major agricultural events like the Pre-Harvest Agribusiness Conference and the Women in Food and Agriculture Leadership Training Forum. Its role in the National Agricultural Fair further demonstrates the organisation’s ability to bring together stakeholders and deliver impactful programs for the sector.
The Minister reiterated his commitment to deepen collaboration with relevant private-sector organisations in implementing important agricultural initiatives. He emphasized that partnerships like the one with Agrihouse Foundation are vital for reducing the financial load on the state while enhancing the effectiveness of national programs.
