AIDEC Digital is set to launch its groundbreaking Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre at the AIDEC Digital Hub, East Legon, Ogbojo Accra Accra, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. This marks a major milestone in Ghana’s digital transformation and job creation agenda.
The event which will be held under the theme: ‘Global Competitiveness and Strategic Partnerships: Positioning Ghana as a Top Outsourcing Hub through Strategic Collaborations and Job Creation’, aims to position Ghana as a key player in the global outsourcing industry.
The launch event will bring together government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and key stakeholders to celebrate the landmark achievement and explore opportunities for strategic collaboration.
Executive Chairman of AIDEC Digital, Ambrose Yennah, said the BPO Centre represents a commitment to leveraging digital technology for economic growth, job creation, and skills development.
Speaking ahead of the launch, he said: “The new BPO Centre is a strategic expansion that will provide world-class outsourcing services while creating employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth and this has always been the goal”.
He added that with cutting-edge technology and a skilled workforce, AIDEC Digital aims to scale its operations and expand its service offerings in the medium to long term. “We envisions its BPO Centre as a model for other African countries seeking to harness outsourcing services for economic growth.”
The BPO industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector that has transformed economies like India and the Philippines by creating jobs and generating foreign exchange. AIDEC Digital aims to replicate this success in Ghana by offering customer support, data analytics, IT and software development support, and digital marketing services.
These services will cater to both local businesses and international clients, boosting Ghana’s global competitiveness in the outsourcing market.
A key highlight of the BPO Centre is its potential to create hundreds of jobs for young graduates and IT professionals. Beyond employment, AIDEC Digital is committed to upskilling the workforce through specialized training in customer relations, IT support, digital marketing, and ISO certification.
This initiative aligns with government policies on digital transformation and youth employment, contributing to Ghana’s economic empowerment and 24-hour economy agenda.
The success of the AIDEC Digital BPO Centre is anchored on strong partnerships with both local and international stakeholders.
The initiative is supported by Academic City University, the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH), 7W Artificial Intelligence Company Ltd/IRCAI, PECB, Koenig, Cognisert, NextGen, Accurate, ITC/NTF, AFOS Foundation, GIZ, and Generation Ghana, among others. These partnerships will drive innovation, investment, and capacity-building within Ghana’s digital ecosystem.
