Adansi Rural Bank Plc at Fomena in the Adansi North District of Ashanti Rrgion has donated items valued at GH¢36,000 to eight municipal and district assemblies within its operational territories for the 2024 National Farmers’ Day celebration.
This gesture underscores the Bank’s commitment to fostering growth and sustainability in the agricultural sector, which remains the backbone of the Ghanaian economy.
The beneficiary assemblies include the Adansi North District, Adansi South District, Obuasi Municipal Assembly and Obuasi East District.
The rest are Adansi Asokwa District. Atwima Kwanwoma District, Asokwa Municipal Assembly, and Ejisu Municipal Assembly. The distribution of these items is strategically aimed at encouraging and rewarding farmers in these municipalities and districts for their dedication and hard work.
The donated items are essential farming tools and equipment such as cutlasses, Wellington boots, knapsack sprayers and refrigerators.
These items are expected to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the award-winning farmers and support their ongoing efforts in modernizing farming practices.
The Chief Executive Officer of Adansi Rural Bank, Daniel Amponsah, who presented the donation on behalf of the Bank highlighted the importance of recognizing the relentless efforts of local farmers, who continue to provide food security and drive economic development.
