The B&FT, Africa’s leading provider of business information, and Glico Group have pledged to deepen their existing relationship and explore areas of mutual benefits to spur growth.
By leveraging their various expertise, experiences and collective strengths, the two entities aim to collaborate more through different innovative activities lined up for the coming year and beyond.
This was made known when officials of Glico Group paid a courtesy call on the B&FT at its head office in Accra.
Speaking at the meeting on behalf of Glico Group’s CEO, Edward Forkuo Kyei, Head-Corporate Affairs, Matilda Fokuo who led the team, noted that having been in existence for over 37 years, Glico Group is “now in a position to tell its story” and reach more people for further growth – hence the need for deepened engagement with B&FT.
“Glico came in today to show appreciation to the B&FT. Last year, we had a good relationship with you. We were part of the Money Summit as a discussant, and we found the forum to be an educational one for businesses to grow and learn about the financial terrain.
“We have so much to tell, and we want to work with you in telling our story. We want to work with you to increase our visibility. So, we are glad to have these conversations that border on greater collaboration,” she said.
She further indicated that the Group will be launching a series of products and projects throughout the year, which will require B&FT’s support.
On his part, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the B&FT, Dr. Godwin Acquaye – who lauded the long-standing relationship between the two companies, reiterated his outfit’s commitment and readiness to offer its platforms and expertise to help Glico deliver value for clients. As a media organisation, he said, the B&FT has an unalloyed commitment to supporting businesses’ growth.
Acquaye also revealed that the B&FT is interested in increasing its work in the insurance sector, in collaboration with leading industry players like Glico.
For instance, he elaborated that B&FT looks to host an event that focuses on entrepreneurship in March. The event, he indicated, will bring together women business owners – both formal and informal – to network and share experiences. The forum also seeks to encourage women with skills to grow their businesses.
He implored Glico to be part of the upcoming events and leverage the platforms to maximise growth. “We do not take your support for granted. This year, we want to get closer to the insurance sector. We want to get closer to see how we can get business for you in terms of reach.”
