Airtel has outdoored the biggest data campaign in Ghana, dubbed ‘Browse Chaw’. The new campaign is aimed at further positioning Airtel as the network with the best data offering.
“Browse Chaw is what you can do with Airtel Internet -- browse, stream and download at exciting speeds wherever you go, whenever, at extremely affordable rates,†the Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana Manu Rajan disclosed at the campaign’s launch. According to him, under the ‘Browse Chaw’ campaign, Airtel is offering a healthy bouquet of data products that has been designed for its valued customers.
He disclosed that over the years, Airtel has spearheaded the introduction of customer-centred data services which have revolutionised how people use data in Ghana. “We just introduced our Airtel Care application; a simple, user-friendly application that allows our customers to manage their main and data accounts, top-up easily, manage their Value Added Services (VAS) subscriptions and also contact customer care. This app, which is a first from Airtel, has changed the meaning of Customer Care in Ghana,†he said.
He further mentioned other data services including Data Rollover, which allows data users to roll-over their unused data credit before it expires; Data Kredit, which allows customers to borrow credit from Airtel and pay at the next recharge; and the Airtel Dual Voucher which allows customers to top-up their airtime or data bundle with the same recharge voucher, as all ‘firsts’ from Airtel.
He also said that Airtel Ghana, as part of its plans to offer exceptional data experience to its customers, will be investing GH₵200million into a nationwide network expansion. Out of the amount, GH₵150million is being spent on expanding the company’s data footprint across the country.
The Manager in charge of Data, Kwadwo Okyere Amoako, on his part outlined some of the products and services Airtel provides for its data customers. These included data bundles, data gifts, Opera Mini and Facebook Web Pass, Facebook zero and time bundles.
