
The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak has told Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah who has been reassigned as Technical Advisor to the Interior Minister, that collaboration is essential for achieving the overarching goals set forth by the Ministry.

On Thursday, March 20, Tiwaa Addo-Danquah reported for duty as the Technical Advisor to the Minister for the Interior.
A letter dated March 19, 2025, from the Office of the President, signed by Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., formally conveyed the directive, stating that the reassignment takes immediate effect.
COP Addo-Danquah is expected to liaise with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth transition into her new role.
It further expressed confidence that her expertise and commitment would continue to serve the country effectively in her new capacity.
The announcement comes on the same day that newly appointed Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Yohuno, introduced a major shakeup in the top hierarchy of the Ghana Police Service.
The restructuring, which affects several high-ranking officers, is aimed at enhancing efficiency, strengthening security operations, and ensuring effective leadership within the service.
COP Addo-Danquah, a seasoned police officer with extensive experience in law enforcement, has previously served in various leadership roles within the Ghana Police Service.
Her reassignment is seen as part of broader efforts by both the Presidency and the Police Administration to restructure key institutions and improve security oversight in the country.
