Born in Zebilla, in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Ayine exhibited a passion for excellence from an early age. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with honours. Ayine obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the prestigious University of Michigan Law School in the United States, specialising in International Economic Law. Dr Ayine’s academic career is marked by impactful teaching and research. As a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, he has mentored countless students and contributed significantly to the development of legal education in the country. His areas of expertise include International Trade Law, Investment Law, and Constitutional Law, subjects on which he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and academic texts.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Ayine is the founder of Ayine & Felli Law Office, a leading law firm known for its focus on commercial and investment law. His practice has seen him represent both local and international clients in complex legal matters, showcasing his deep understanding of Ghanaian and international legal systems.
Political Career
Dominic Ayine’s political journey began in 2013 when he was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East Constituency. During his tenure, he served on several parliamentary committees, including the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee.
